UX and UI fall under the same umbrella – web design or product development. Some even use these two words interchangeably. But there is a difference. Here is what it is in a nutshell.
UX or User Experience refers to the user’s interaction with a product or service. It is more to do with the overall user’s journey.
UI or User Interface on the other hand, is the user’s interaction with interfaces and elements such as buttons, widgets, images, etc. UI involves more interfaces, designs and visual layouts.
In the product development process UX design usually comes before the UI process.
